“As a designer you are always learning, and I think you can learn most things if you are interested and curious enough.”

Sara Nilsson is an Interaction Designer at heart and after her time at Semcon has a solid experience in her field, where she has worked with various clients and projects. After nine years, however, she felt that she wanted to try something new and broaden her knowledge.

“As a designer you are always learning, and I think you can learn most things if you are interested and curious enough.”

She explains that it is exciting to start at Stendahls, albeit a little strange to start working remotely right away due to the ongoing pandemic.

“But I feel very welcome!”

Since completing her education at Chalmers, Sara worked at Semcon with various projects and clients in technology and innovation. At Stendahls she will work as UX Director in Service Design & Innovations, where she hopes and believes that her experience from complex technology projects will come in handy.

“I am good at working efficiently and methodically, making the most of the resources I have. You could say I’m like the spider in the web; piecing together information from different sources and looking for what ties it all together. In addition, this is partly a change of direction for me, so I am very much looking forward to learning more about the communication and branding areas of UX projects. And of course I look forward to getting to know all the lovely people working in our nice office! I have heard so many good things about Stendahls from several different contacts, so it feels really exciting to be a part of all this,” says Sara.

Sara rounds off by saying that, although her work has taught her a lot about life, it is still her oldest child who has been her best and most important teacher.

“I have heard a saying that you get the children you need; those who challenge you the most are also the ones who make you develop the most. It’s about being present in the moment, about caring and patience and the ability to familiarize yourself with someone else’s feelings and thoughts. Put simply, things you can use everywhere in life,” concludes Sara.

Curious about what we do?
